UN Global Compact Network Canada, in partnership with WSP, is pleased to invite you to this important event, marking a significant milestone in corporate nature-positive and biodiversity action across Canada. Join us as we unveil a comprehensive guide developed through our collaborative Biodiversity Working Group, aimed at empowering companies to take steps towards reporting under the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, or TNFD.

Currently hosting the new "Root for Nature" exhibition, this setting offers a powerful, modern perspective on nature and biodiversity.     A tri-sector leader, specializing in social impact and sustainability strategies which engage the public, business and the government. Elizabeth has worked as senior staff and consultant on advancing a wide range of issues including health, inclusion, affordable housing, empowerment of women and youth, the arts, and international development. Passionate about the power of collaboration, she seeks out projects that bring together actors from different sectors to create value for their organizations and the broader community. 

    Through her leadership as a consultant, facilitator, and senior manager, more children have found loving foster homes, concerned individuals and the government more easily dialogue on foreign aid, banks have adopted new ways to support Indigenous peoples, international development organizations have found new ways to partner with business, and regular citizens have discovered their superpowers as changemakers. In addition to strategic subject matter expertise, Elizabeth has honed skills in: designing learning and development programs, marketing and communications, sales, partnership development, and consulting.

    André-Martin Bouchard is an accomplished environmental industry professional with over 30 years of experience. Currently, he holds the position of Global Director Earth & Environment / Global Executive Director ESG at WSP Global, where he leads a team of c. 20,000 environmental experts and ESG professionals from over 35 countries. In this role, Mr. Bouchard is responsible for leading the design and execution of WSP’s global Earth & Environment Sector Strategy, and he also oversees the company’s global ESG program, which ensures that WSP’s work for clients is also linked to its own corporate ESG initiatives. 

    As a Professional Environmental Engineer and Consultant since 1993, Mr. Bouchard has held roles at all levels, from Project Manager to Global Director, and has established himself as an influential figure in the environmental industry, known for his outstanding accomplishments and leadership. Furthermore, as a seasoned environmental professional, Mr. Bouchard has provided services to clients in end-markets such as transportation and infrastructure, buildings, industry, mining and energy, as well as assisted organizations on various stages of their ESG journey.

    With a Ph.D. in Material Chemistry from McGill University, she has over ten years of experience in research and development within the paper industry, having worked as a scientist at FPInnovations. Since 2022, she has been part of Cascades' corporate sustainability development team, where she applies her technical expertise to a wide range of topics, including recyclability and decarbonization. Additionally, she supports the sales teams in meeting client requirements related to sustainable business practices and environmental responsibility.

    Graduated in Law and specialized in Corporate and Public Communications Management, Bianca has been working for over a decade with Business and Biodiversity and public policy. She collaborated with the international expansion of the LIFE Certification and most recently lead the Institutional Relations and Strategic Partnerships work for the Boticario Group Foundation. In her current position since 2019, Bianca is the Program Manager for engagement with business sector with the Convention on Biological Diversity and she also coordinates the Global Partnership for Business and Biodiversity.

    Dr. Kyle Knopff is a biodiversity specialist who leads global teams of experts in providing nature advisory services to WSP's clients. He is well-versed in international guidelines and performance standards for biodiversity, including emerging nature reporting frameworks. In addition to his advisory role, Kyle supports the operational aspects of biodiversity management. He has developed and operationalized biodiversity management plans, as well as biodiversity loss-gain accounting systems, and has extensive experience in planning offset and compensation programs. Kyle also designs and implements long-term monitoring programs and conducts compliance audits and due diligence. His work spans across various industries and countries around the world.
